Today we were participants in a live webinar that was broadcast to schools all around Ireland.
Normally we get to sit back and relax while we watch but today was county final stuff and we had our game faces on!!
As part of maths week The National Museum of Ireland chose this workshop to show how pixels, patterns and binary numbers create coded designs that link historical patterns to modern technology. One example is how computers and memory cards count and proces data in powers of 2 – 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB etc…
Thanks to Chris Reina, Ray Reina and Kieran Healy for allowing us to be part of this presentation and for showing us all the work that’s involved in a 1 hour webinar. … See MoreSee Less
